Das Lamm muss laufen!

Since 2001, our supporters club “Das Lamm muss laufen! e.V.” has championed the art of film in Erlangen. Its aim: to win an audience for films far from the world of blockbusters – and to stand up for quality and variety at the cinema.

The club brings selected films to Erlangen as previews before their release, invites filmmakers to talk after the film and supports film series in the Lamm's program.

It supports festivals – from the Chinese Film Festival with the Confucius Institute to the Comic-Salon's Comic Film Fest –, funds student film productions and helps organize the SommerNachtFilmFestival every year.

With our support, these run: Großes Kino, Lammkeule, Doku-Kino and Matinée Ciné.

Großes Kino brings classics that made film history back to the big screen. Lammkeule shows exceptional films of every genre, new each week and picked by hand. Doku-Kino screens a documentary every week that informs, moves and makes you think. And at Matinée Ciné there's a French breakfast with café au lait and croissants first, then a French film as a preview, in the original with subtitles.

Become a member

Members are just as welcome as supporters as they are to lend a hand. And they get something out of it:

  • €9.00 instead of €11.00 admission at the Lamm-Lichtspiele
  • Invitations to exclusive special events
  • once a year, the chance of a private screening of your own – the winner picks the film and the audience

Fill in the membership form (in German) and hand it in at the box office or send it to the club's address. Everything else is set out in the statutes.

You're welcome to pay more, as a supporting fee of your own choosing. The fee is collected by direct debit; membership can be ended at the close of the current club year.

Seat sponsorships

Das Lamm muss sitzen!

For new seating in both auditoriums, the club launched the campaign “Das Lamm muss sitzen!”: anyone who wanted to could sponsor a cinema seat – or several at once. That's how 172 seats found their sponsors, from regulars to the Erlanger Stadtwerke, who took ten seats in one go.
