Legendary singer-songwriter Wolf Biermann has always polarized: throughout his life he stood at the center of political controversies—before and after his 1976 expatriation from East Germany, which sent shockwaves through East and West alike.
The camera accompanies the 90-year-old in meetings with old friends and companions in Paris, Berlin, and Hamburg. The result is a moving, humorous, and spirited portrait of a witness to history who refuses to be silenced to this day.
After all, German-German history is more closely intertwined with Wolf Biermann than with any other living artist.
Shows are in German unless they carry their language, like EN for English.
