KGF: Chapter 1

A period drama set in the 1970s, KGF follows the story of a fierce rebel who rises against the brutal oppression in Kolar Gold Fields and becomes the symbol of hope to legions of downtrodden people. The film narrates the story of one person’s life and his ambition. KGF stands for Kolar Gold Fields, which was the richest region in India until 2002.The film is set in this region, and while it takes place predominantly in the 1970s, it charts the life of a man from 1951 till 1981. Yash plays a gangster called Rocky, a most ambitious one, and the film narrates his rise and fall. The first chapter will show how his childhood shapes him into the gangster he becomes.
